Mechanical Supervisor - Shutdown / Turnaround - Oil & Gas / Relevant Experience

ABIS is seeking a dedicated Mechanical Supervisor specializing in Shutdown and Turnaround operations within the oil and gas sector. The Mechanical Supervisor will oversee and lead mechanical teams during planned shutdowns and turnaround activities, ensuring that all mechanical tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and a thorough understanding of mechanical systems and maintenance procedures in high-pressure environments.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate mechanical work during shutdown and turnaround projects.
• Ensure adherence to safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage daily work schedules and allocate resources effectively.
• Coordinate with project team members and contractors to facilitate smooth operations.
• Monitor the progress of mechanical tasks and report on status and issues.
• Ensure quality control measures are implemented and maintained.
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings for the team.
• Identify and resolve any operational problems promptly to avoid delays.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical supervision, particularly in shutdown and turnaround activities.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, maintenance practices, and safety standards.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with industrial safety regulations and quality standards.
