Intelligence Intern
This self-motivated individual will assist with a multitude of earned media monitoring and reporting while getting to experience the day-to-day activities of a fast-paced agency. The best candidates will possess strong analytical skills, writing and proofreading abilities, have a solid understanding of media relations and current events, and have previous relevant internship experience. We seek strategic thinkers who can help tell a story about our client’s earned media results and stay informed on the latest news - all of which contribute to growing clients’ presence. The position also requires an individual with a passion for emerging media and an understanding of social media as it applies to business.
Responsibilities:
Support the Intelligence teams, including:
- Supporting media monitoring and reporting across the business
- Monitor competitor activity
- Conduct media sentiment analysis
- Supporting creation of media lists
- Tracking analytics and providing support for results reporting
- Creating searches and reports within reporting platforms such as Meltwater to track earned media and social conversation
- Compiling industry research and insights
- Helping transcribe industry events using AI-powered platforms
Qualifications:
- Strong research skills and ability to summarize large amounts of data into digestible takeaways
- Strong writing skills
- Knowledge and use of AP Style writing
- Understanding of what makes news and current events
- Ability to meet deadlines promptly and effectively
- Great attention to detail, enthusiasm, organization, multitasking, and desire to be a team player
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work individually
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
