Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Billing Specialist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and processing accurate medical bills, submitting claims to insurance companies, managing patient billing records, and ensuring billing information.

• Work-from-home
• Monday to Friday, 10PM to 7AM Manila time
• Will follow US Holidays

Responsibilities

• Review and verify accuracy of billing data and revise any errors
• Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies
• Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframe
• Utilize medical coding to ensure compliance with federal regulations
• Answer patient inquiries regarding billing issues or concerns
• Process payments from insurance companies and patients
• Maintain confidentiality of all patient information
• Navigate insurance portals to check patients' benefits and follow up on claims

Qualifications

• Proficiency in medical terminology
• Knowledge of medical office procedures and practices
• Experience in medical billing and coding using ICD-10 codes
• Ability to handle medical collections efficiently
• Familiarity with coding systems in the healthcare industry
• Ability to navigate electronic health records
