Responsibilities & Requirements

The Medical Lab Tech II performs routine and complex laboratory tests to support the diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of patient health. This role ensures the accuracy and reliability of laboratory results through careful specimen processing, quality control, and adherence to regulatory standards, contributing to patient safety and quality care. Performs other duties as assigned. All job responsibilities are to be carried out in alignment with Kettering Health's mission, vision, values, and B Safe program. Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field from an accredited institution None required. Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) by a recognized certifying agency such as the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP); must be obtained prior to start date

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related discipline Two or more years of experience in a clinical laboratory, with proficiency in multiple laboratory disciplines Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or equivalent
