Chesapeake Specialty Care is growing, and we're looking for a friendly, dependable, and motivated Medical Receptionist / Front Desk Representative to join our team.
In this role, you'll be an important part of the patient experience—from the moment a patient walks through our doors to the time they check out. If you enjoy variety, teamwork, and staying busy, we'd love to hear from you!
This is a fully in-person position, regularly working across all of our offices is required. Our offices are located in Owings Mills, Rosedale, Columbia, and Westminster
Your Schedule
Monday–Friday — no weekends!
8-hour shifts scheduled between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM
30-minute unpaid lunch
What You'll Do
- Welcome patients and provide a friendly, professional check-in and check-out experience
- Schedule appointments across our practice locations
- Collect copays and outstanding patient balances
- Assist patients with general insurance and billing questions
- Review paperwork, referrals, and medical records for accuracy and completeness
- Prepare patient charts and help keep front desk areas organized
- Rotate between office locations based on practice needs
- Work alongside a supportive team to keep daily operations running smoothly
What Will Help You Succeed
- At least 1 year of medical front desk or medical office experience is required
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- A positive, dependable, and team-focused attitude
- Excellent organization and attention to detail
- Ability to stay calm and productive in a fast-paced medical office
- Comfort with typing, scanning, filing, and general office tasks
- A professional and compassionate approach to patient care
- Ability and willingness to regularly travel between all four office locations
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Medical office training or education is a plus.
Physical Requirements
This position requires prolonged sitting and computer use, as well as the ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
