Priory Hospital Barnt Green has an opportunity for a RMN who is a Qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), with 6-12 months post registration to join our team across all wards.

Priory Hospital Barnt Green, Barnt Green, Birmingham is a purpose-built hospital providing mental health support for adults and young people, including specialist therapy and psychiatry, as well as private autism assessments for adults. It is accessible by public transport, with Barnt Green railway station approximately 1–2 miles from the hospital and local bus routes serving the surrounding area. Due to the semi-rural location of the service, access to a vehicle or the ability to drive is recommended.

Deliver high-quality, patient-centred nursing care to a defined group of patients by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating individual care plans in partnership with patients and their families. Monitor patients' progress, respond promptly to changes in their condition, and ensure safe, effective care through prioritisation, delegation and multidisciplinary teamwork. Maintain professional standards by adhering to safeguarding, medicines management, organisational policies and the NMC Code, while supporting clinical governance through supervision, reflective practice and continuous professional development. Build positive relationships with patients, relatives and colleagues, address concerns professionally, and contribute to the development of others by acting as a preceptor for newly qualified staff.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

Essential for the role
  • Qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), with 6-12 months post registration experience with active NMC Registration and completed preceptorship programme. Knowledge of NMC guidelines, requests and professional practices.
