Mid/senior Devops Contractor

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our partner, a Cloud & DevOps consultancy team that helps companies from all over the world design, automate and run scalable, secure cloud environments is looking for a Mid/Senior DevOps Engineer to join on a contract basis (B2B). You'll work hands-on on client projects, from Kubernetes platforms and cloud migrations to CI/CD and infrastructure as code, with a real say in the technical decisions.

You'll find a senior team, high technical standards and ownership.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, build and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS and/or Azure;

• Set up, configure, secure and autoscale Kubernetes clusters, in the cloud and on-prem;

• Write and maintain infrastructure as code and configuration management;

• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines, from build and testing to production deploys;

• Run cloud migrations (on-prem to cloud, cloud to cloud);

• Implement monitoring, logging and alerting to catch downtime and performance issues early;

• Integrate security end to end: vulnerability scanning, compliance checks, security as code;

• Find and implement cloud cost optimizations;

• Work directly with clients: understand their needs, propose solutions, document the work.

REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud or SRE roles;

• Production experience with AWS and/or Azure;

• Solid hands-on Kubernetes experience (deployment, operations, troubleshooting);

• Terraform and Ansible (or similar IaC and configuration tools);

• Docker and CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins or Azure DevOps);

• Strong Linux and networking fundamentals; scripting in Bash and/or Python;

• Monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK or similar);

• Great spoken and written English, comfortable in client conversations;

• Autonomous, proactive and organized.
