Position Summary
This role supports Midwest Mission’s weekend mission experiences at churches by coordinating and leading on-site mission activities and providing driving support. Individuals may choose which weekends they are available and which locations they are willing to travel to, offering exceptional flexibility while making a meaningful impact.
Key Responsibilities
Weekend Mission Experiences
- Lead and facilitate mission experiences at host churches
- Welcome, orient, and guide volunteer groups through hands-on mission projects
- Set up and tear down mission stations and supplies
- Ensure a positive, organized, and mission-focused environment
Occasional Driving & Logistics
- Drive a non-CDL truck and trailer or if willing can drive box trucks that require a non-CDL Class C to and from church locations as needed
- Load and unload trailers using a pallet jack
- Secure loads and perform basic vehicle inspections
- Coordinate arrival and departure times with Midwest Mission staff and host churches
Communication & Reporting
- Serve as the primary Midwest Mission representative on site
- Communicate clearly with church leaders and volunteers
- Report participation numbers and kits packed after each event
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Comfortable driving a truck with a trailer or box truck (experience preferred)
- Ability to operate a pallet jack
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Dependable, adaptable, and mission-driven
