Job Overview

This is your chance to help shape the future of flight. As our Model Based Software Engineer, you will compose and decompose requirements, map them with precision, and design, run, and analyze tests that bring model-based designs to life across simulated and target environments. Working hand-in-hand with our flight control, battery control, motor control, certification, flight test, and software verification teams, you will help engineer the safety-critical airborne software powering a new generation of electric aircraft. We're looking for someone fluent in model-based development tools like MATLAB/Simulink, skilled at optimizing tests to run fast and in parallel, and confident turning large volumes of test data into clear, defensible conclusions that move the program forward.

Required

• BSc in mechanical engineering, electrical/electronics engineering, mechatronics, aerospace engineering, computer science, or a related field
• 1+ years of experience in MATLAB/Simulink
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and process
• Strong English communication skills (written and spoken)

Desired

• 3 or more years of experience working with linear and control systems
• Knowledge of software testing, particularly Test-Driven Development
• Python programming
• Experience with requirement-based testing for verification and validation
• Familiarity with RTCA DO-178 and DO-331 standards
