The New Century School seeks a passionate and dedicatedMontessori Primary Guideto establish and lead a new Primary classroom (ages 3-6). This is an exciting opportunity to join a vibrant school community and make a meaningful impact in shaping the minds and hearts of young learners.

About Us

Located in Baltimore, The New Century School is a small, private school serving preschool through 8th grade. We are committed to fostering curiosity, creativity, and independence through Montessori principles and project-based learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain an authentic Montessori Primary classroom.
• Guide children in their academic, social, and emotional development.
• Prepare and maintain a beautiful, engaging, and organized learning environment.
• Collaborate with the administration and other educators to support the school’s mission.
• Maintain accurate records and reports on student progress.
• Communicate effectively with families to foster a strong school-home partnership.
  

Qualifications

• Experience working in a Montessori environment, preferably as a lead guide.
• Montessori teaching certification, or active enrollment with substantial progress in an accredited program
  
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to foster children's independence.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• A deep understanding of Montessori philosophy and a commitment to its principles.
• Minimum 3 years of experience working with preschool children
