• Design, develop, maintain, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server data warehouses and data marts.
• Proactively monitor Microsoft SQL Server workloads, query performance, blocking, resource utilization and database health.
• Analyze complex SQL queries, execution plans, indexing strategies, partitioning schemes and workload patterns to identify optimization opportunities.
• Review existing data processing, integration and operational flows to identify inefficiencies and propose technical and operational improvements. Design and implement database refactoring initiatives to improve scalability, maintainability, and performance.
• Develop and maintain ETL processes and data integration solutions.
• Implement and support Change Data Capture (CDC) and other data synchronization mechanisms.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, data models and database standards.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers and infrastructure teams to design effective data solutions.
• Provide production support and root cause analysis for database-related incidents and performance issues.
• Proactively review Microsoft SQL Server workloads, execution plans, wait statistics and performance metrics, providing recommendations and implementing improvements to enhance overall platform efficiency.

 

Qualifications

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• Strong Oral and Written Communication in English
• 7+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Strong expertise in SQL development and performance tuning.
• Proven experience analyzing query execution plans and optimizing SQL workloads.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server internals, indexing, statistics management, locking, blocking and transaction management.
• Strong understanding of data warehouse concepts, dimensional modeling and data architecture.
• Experience designing and refactoring database models to improve performance and maintainability.
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
• Experience working with Power BI.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with Jira and Agile delivery methodologies.
• Nice to know : SSAS  - SQL Server Analysis Services
