Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician (Mechanical Bias)

No weekend working, four day week and excellent shift premium.

We’re on the lookout for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician (Mechanical Bias) to join our team and help keep our chocolate production running smoothly.

Position type: Full time, permanent

Hours: 40 per week over 4 days Monday - Friday

Pay range: Grade 2 - €25.20 - €26.93 per hour + shift premium (Hours worked before 12 am (Between 16:30 to 11:59 only) will be paid at a premium of 12.5% and hours worked after 12 am (between 00:00 to 03:00 only) will be paid at a premium of 25%.)

Shift Pattern: 3 week cycle rotating between the following weeks:

• Monday - Thursday 0600 - 1630
• Tuesday - Friday 0600-1630
• Monday - Thursday 1630-0300

Responsibilities

• Swiftly troubleshoot and repair equipment.

• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance.

• Use data to drive improvement initiatives and enhance efficiency.

• Minimise downtime by responding quickly to breakdowns.

• Collaborate with teams across the factory to plan maintenance and improve processes.

• Operation of Engineering Stores to ensure spares requirements are met.

Qualifications

• Recognised mechanical trade qualification or a Higher Certificate (NFQ Level 6) / Ordinary Degree (NFQ Level 7) in Mechanical Engineering, with an good understanding of electrical maintenance.
• Experience with food manufacturing machinery such as conveyors, depositors, and wrapping machines.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach.
• Experience with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is an advantage.
• Experience managing mechanical projects, and providing coaching to peers.
