About role - We are seeking a Senior Network Architect—a highly experienced, deeply technical leader—to own the global network architecture for Pattern. The ideal candidate is a hands-on expert who excels in strategy, design, vendor management, troubleshooting, and independent execution. You will function as the most senior technical authority in India, proactively identifying issues, delivering future-proof architectural improvements, and executing global network projects with minimal oversight. This is a role for someone who not only understands complex, global-scale networks, but can autonomously design, build, improve, troubleshoot, and present solutions with clarity and confidence.
Roles and Responsibilities
Global Architecture & Strategy - Lead the architecture and design of Pattern’s global network (offices, warehouses, cloud)Develop scalable standards for routing, switching, SD-WAN, segmentation, WLAN, and NACEvaluate new technologies and practices to enhance resiliency, performance, and visibility Proactively identify and redesign weaknesses or inefficienciesProject Leadership & ExecutionOwn network buildouts for warehouses, corporate offices, and global sites (requirements, design, deployment)Produce professional, presentation-ready network designs (HLDs, LLDs, BOMs, diagrams)Drive end-to-end project execution, coordinating with global teams and vendors as neededAdvanced Troubleshooting & Operational ExcellenceAct as the highest-level technical escalation point for global networking issuesDiagnose complex networking and security problems independentlyImplement lasting solutions, not just band-aid fixesVendor, Partner & Cross-Functional CollaborationManage vendor relationships (ISPs, integrators, suppliers)Lead technical conversations and ensure vendors meet Pattern standardsCollaborate closely with the Network Manager, IT leadership, and regional teamsDocumentation & StandardsMaintain world-class documentation, including architecture diagrams, standards, and runbooksEstablish and enforce global best practices for network design and operations
Technical Qualification
15+ years of deep, hands-on networking experience in global enterprise environmentsProven ability to architect (not just operate) large, complex multi-site networksExpert-level proficiency in:BGP, OSPFSD-WAN (Fortinet preferred)Firewalling (FortiGate), switching (FortiSwitch), centralized management (FortiManager)High-availability/disaster recovery (HA/DR), routing failover, ISP redundancyNAC / 802.1X / certificate-based auth (Portnox a plus)Enterprise Wi-Fi architecturesStrong experience designing networks for warehouses, distribution centers, and high-density officesExcellent, fluent English (written & spoken)Ability to create professional design documents and present to senior leadershipDemonstrated independence: can deliver from problem to solution without oversight

Cloud networking experience (AWS, Azure, GCP)Experience with CheckMK or other advanced monitoring toolsFamiliarity with automation, scripting, or Infrastructure-as-CodeExperience in fast-paced, global technology organizations
