🚀 Network Engineer / Network Administrator – Rome, Italy (Hybrid)

Are you passionate about enterprise networking, cybersecurity, and cloud infrastructure? We're looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join a long-term international project supporting a complex and mission-critical network environment based in Rome, Italy.

📍 Location

• Rome, Italy
• Hybrid model: up to 3 days remote per week

🎯 Your Mission

You will be responsible for the operation, administration, and continuous improvement of enterprise network services, ensuring high availability, security, and performance across a complex multi-tenant environment. You will also collaborate closely with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and business teams to deliver secure and scalable networking solutions.

💻 Key Responsibilities

✅ Configure and support Cisco network infrastructure (Nexus, Catalyst, routing & switching)

✅ Manage Cisco Meraki environments (switching, wireless, and security)

✅ Administer Cisco Firepower and F5 BIG-IP AFM firewalls

✅ Support and maintain F5 Load Balancers

✅ Configure and troubleshoot IPSEC VPN connections

✅ Monitor WAN performance and resolve network incidents

✅ Participate in cybersecurity initiatives and vulnerability remediation

✅ Implement secure network architectures and operational standards

✅ Automate operational tasks through scripting and automation tools

✅ Produce technical documentation and support continuous service improvements

✅ Required Skills

• 5+ years of networking experience
• Strong expertise in Cisco Routing & Switching
• Hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki solutions
• Experience with F5 Load Balancers
• Cisco Firepower and F5 AFM administration
• TCP/IP networking knowledge
• OSPF and BGP routing protocols
• Enterprise LAN/WAN and Data Centre environments
• SD-WAN, MPLS, DNS and network monitoring technologies
• Network Security and Cybersecurity best practices
• ITIL-based operational environments
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• AWS networking concepts (VPCs, routing, security groups, connectivity)
