New Home Sales Manager (Production Homes & Pre-Construction)

Are you a residential construction professional who also loves working with homeowners and selling?

A family-owned homebuilder in the Galveston/Brazoria County area is looking for a New Home Sales & Construction Manager to help grow its production home division. This role combines new home sales, buyer consultations, selections and pre-construction with the opportunity to work directly with ownership to develop 5–6 standardized production home plans and processes.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who understands both the sales side of residential construction and the operational realities of building homes profitably and efficiently. The ideal candidate can guide homeowners through the design and pre-construction process while helping ownership develop scalable production home systems and plans for future growth.

This is not a “high-pressure car sales” environment. The right person will be consultative, process-minded, relationship-driven, and capable of balancing customer expectations with construction feasibility, budgets, and appraisal realities.

What You’ll Do

• Meet with prospective homeowners and guide them through the homebuilding process
• Conduct showroom and design consultations
• Help customers understand customization options while maintaining production efficiencies
• Assist ownership in developing scalable production home plans and processes
• Prepare preliminary budgets, specifications, and pricing
• Coordinate pre-construction documentation and selections
• Ensure plans, budgets, and specifications are complete prior to construction handoff
• Work closely with ownership, vendors, designers, and field teams
• Build and maintain relationships with local realtors, vendors, and community partners
• Help create a customer experience that drives referrals and repeat business
• Support both production and semi-custom/custom home projects as needed

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years in production homebuilding, new home construction, Build On Your Lot, semi-custom homebuilding, new home sales, or residential pre-construction.
• Sales experience is preferred, but we are open to residential construction professionals who have significant homeowner-facing experience and a natural ability to build relationships.
• Understanding of production home pricing, vendor coordination, and pre-construction workflows
• Ability to balance customer wants with budget, appraisal, and construction realities
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Organized, detail-oriented, and process-driven
• Comfortable working in a collaborative, family-oriented environment
• Experience with custom homes or customer design consultations is highly preferred
• Knowledge of the Galveston County / Brazoria County market is a strong plus
• Existing local industry relationships are highly valued

Compensation

• Competitive base salary plus uncapped performance incentives with OTE at $100,000
