The Role:
We are seeking an experiencedtransactionalattorneyto join the Firm’s growing practice. This is a client-facing corporate role within a focusedtax-exempt organizations practice. Matters are sophisticated, high-volume, and operationally real, involving governance, contracts, and organizational decision-making for nonprofits. The attorney in this position will work across the full breadth of the firm’s corporate and nonprofit matters.
The position involves a broad range of corporate and nonprofit legal work, including:
- Drafting, negotiating,and reviewing contracts, fromroutine operational agreements tocomplex and specialized transactions
- Advising onnonprofitgovernance,board matters, and organizational policies
- Handling allaspects of corporate formationand restructuring
- Conducting legalresearch onNew YorkNon-Profit Corporation Law, employment law,and legislative developments affectingnonprofit organizations
CandidateQualifications
We are seeking an experienced attorney witha solidacademic and professionalrecord.
Candidates should have:
- J.D. with strong academic credentials andadmissionto practice inNew York
- 5+ years of corporate transactional experience,including working either in-house at a nonprofit organization or with a law firmtax-exemptorganizations practice group.
- A genuine commitmentto mission-drivenworkand building a long-term role with the Firm.

This job is foranexperienced nonprofit corporatelawyer, whois readytostep into work for thefirm’s clients. In this role, thehired candidatewilldevelop a nuancedunderstandingthe firm’s clients and their issues and history, with the goal of becoming client facing and managingclientprojects independently.
Candidates are not expected to bring their own book or business. However, the hired candidatewill be given opportunities to learn and apply business development skills and strategies.
This position is for a straight shooter, looking to do high quality work without the politics of a larger firm orcompany, and interested in a clear long-term path to career development.
Flexible Hours and Location (Remote)
This position can be a full-time position, or the Firm may hire one or more part-time roles.
Full-time attorneys will enjoy a flexiblesalariedschedule but are expected to be availablegenerally duringour client’s working hours.
