Nurse Practitioner Team Lead

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and Supervise: Assist Director with oversight of a team of Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, providing clinical leadership and support.
• Clinical Oversight: Ensure the highest quality of care through ongoing case reviews, mentorship, and clinical guidance.
• Limited Patient Care: Provide direct psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans for patients with mental health conditions. May require floating and frequent travel.
• Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and foster a positive work environment.
• Training & Development: Mentor and train other Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, ensuring professional growth and adherence to best practices.
• Quality Improvement: Help implement and monitor quality improvement initiatives to ensure the best outcomes for patients.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with a valid license.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Psychiatric NP, with prior leadership or supervisory experience and previous nursing home experience preferred.
• Strong clinical knowledge in mental health assessments and medication management
• Ability to lead by example and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Must be self-motivated, organized and have great attention to detail.
• Ability and willingness to travel
