Ramsay Clinic - Northside is seeking a Nurse Unit Manager to join our Mental Health Facility on a permanent, full-time basis.

About the Role

As the Nurse Unit Manager – Adolescent and Young Adult (Age 16+), you will lead and support our team to deliver excellence in patient care, in accordance with best practice standards and legislative requirements.

The Adolescent and Young Adult Unit is a 32-bed ward providing specialist mental health care to young people aged 16–25 years. In this role, you will be accountable for the efficient and effective management of staff within the unit, while working collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders involved in the provision of patient care and treatment. The position also includes direct clinical care of patients.

This fast-paced and highly rewarding role reports to the Director of Clinical Services and offers an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the delivery of high-quality mental health care for adolescents and young adults.

About You

While leadership or management experience is desirable, this role will also suit an experienced Registered Nurse looking to step up into a leadership position.

You will also demonstrate:

• Current AHPRA registration.
• Minimum 5-year experience working as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum 3 months experience working as a Registered Nurse in a Mental Health setting (desirable).
• Excellent clinical assessment, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational abilities.
• A commitment to patient-centred care and continuous quality improvement.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and manage challenging situations.
• Resilience and adaptability in a dynamic clinical environment.
• Commitment to teamwork, patient safety, and professional growth

Preferred criteria: Postgraduate qualifications relevant to working with young people or mental health nursing.

Remuneration

On offer is a base hourly rate of $70.89 + superannuation, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (Nursing/Midwifery Unit Manager level 1)

Additional Information

• Must provide or complete a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months.
