The Subsea Project Manager ensures the safe, efficient, and compliant execution of underwater construction, inspection, repair, and maintenance (IRM) projects. Key Responsibilities
A. Project Execution & Operations
- Plan and oversee ROV operations, diving projects, pipeline inspections, and subsea installations.
- Manage mobilization/demobilization of vessels, equipment, and personnel.
- Verify project budgets, schedules, and work scopes with the Subsea Operations Manager.
- Ensure timely delivery of survey reports, as-built documentation, and client deliverables.
- Supervise offshore operations, ensuring compliance with marine and subsea safety protocols.
- Oversee data acquisition (sonar, bathymetry, CP surveys) and validate integrity reports.
B. Contract & Client Management
- Manage Marine & Subsea Services agreements, including QHSE, KPIs, invoicing, and payments.
- Ensure client satisfaction by meeting contractual obligations while protecting company interests.
- Review Variation Orders (VOs) and change requests for subsea scope adjustments.
- Verify invoices and work certifications for accurate and prompt billing.
C. QHSE & Compliance
- Enforce diving/ROV safety procedures, emergency plans, and risk assessments.
- Report incidents, near-misses, and non-conformances to the QHSE department.
- Ensure compliance with IMCA guidelines and client-specific HSE requirements.
- Promote safety culture and environmental responsibility in the workplace.
D. Technical & Reporting
- Review subsea inspection reports (corrosion, pipeline integrity, cathodic protection).
- Approve repair methodologies for subsea infrastructure (pipelines, umbilicals, manifolds).
- Finalize project close-out documentation, including as-built drawings and client handover.
Additional Duties
- Lead pre-mobilization meetings with subcontractors, vessel crews, and clients.
- Evaluate and manage third-party subcontractors (ROV/diving teams, survey providers).
- Ensure prompt invoices and debt collection for financial efficiency.
- Support company QHSE objectives and regulatory compliance.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Requirements
. Required Skills & Qualifications
- Degree / Diploma in engineering/maritime/business field or equivalent
- At least 3 years of experience in offshore marine industry
- Subsea experience is a plus
- Management Skills: Offshore team leadership, subcontractor coordination, client relations.
Financial Acumen: Budget control, invoicing, contract management
