Pastry Baker

The Pastry Baker is responsible for preparing a variety of baked goods, including pastries, bread, desserts, and specialty items, while maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake a wide range of bakery items, including breads, rolls, cakes, cookies, pastries, and specialty desserts.
• Follow recipes and production schedules to ensure consistency and
• Measure and mix ingredients accurately using scales, mixers, and other baking
• Monitor baking process, including oven temperatures and baking times, to prevent overcooking or burning.
• Decorate and finish baked goods with glazes, icings, and
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the baking area, tools, and
• Ensure all baked goods meet food safety and hygiene
• Maintain inventory of baking ingredients and supplies; assist with stock rotation and
• Experiment with and suggest new recipes, seasonal products, or menu
• Work as part of a team and support other kitchen staff as needed.

Qualifications/Skills and Experience

• Proven experience as a Pastry Chef, Baker, or in a commercial kitchen environment
• Knowledge of traditional and modern baking techniques
• Ability to work efficiently in high-volume production settings
• Strong understanding of food safety, kitchen hygiene, and allergen management
• Excellent time management and ability to multitask

Working Conditions

Position based at the OKO Project site.
Work Schedule – 14 days on/7 days Off
Transport, accommodations, and meals provided on site.

Compensation Package

1-year contract for the construction period, with the possibility of a permanent position once the mine is in operation.
