We are looking for a reliable Plant Attendant for our Dublin Waste to Energy (WtE) Facility in the Poolbeg Peninsula, Duiblin, Ireland, to support the safe and efficient operation of our plant.

Working as part of a shift team, you will monitor plant performance, carry out routine inspections and first-line maintenance, identify and report operational issues, and help ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and statutory requirements. You will also support troubleshooting, outage preparations, and continuous plant improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities 

• Operate and monitor plant equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations.
• Perform routine inspections, basic maintenance, and first-line fault diagnosis.
• Identify, report, and respond to plant abnormalities, defects, and safety concerns.
• Support adherence to safety procedures, environmental standards, and permit-to-work systems.
• Assist with operational reporting, investigations, projects, and planned maintenance/outage activities.

 

Qualifications

• Qualification in Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the power generation industry or a similar industrial environment.
• Strong understanding of plant operations, maintenance activities, and troubleshooting of industrial processes.
• Solid commitment to Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) standards; HSE certifications are an advantage.
• Excellent English communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure, solve problems, make sound decisions during emergencies, and collaborate effectively within a team.
