WAREHOUSE MANAGER
Job Description:
Develops and directs the operations of the Distribution Center to ensure that customer and vendor requirements are achieved in accordance with company policies and food safety and quality requirements along with BRC standards. This role serves as a leader in the Distribution Center environment. This role oversees the facilitation and coordination of Inventory Control, Quality control, Logistics, & Safety within the facility; and serves as a leader that can deliver significant process improvements and productivity improvements. All employees of Batory Foods are responsible to receive, store and ship safe quality products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strong leadership, administrative, organizational, managerial and communication
- Develops and delivers the Distribution Center goals and
- Manages the development and delivery of operational policies, programs and systems including but not limited to Quality, Safety, and food safety regulatory bodies within functional areas.
- Develops and directs the orientation, evaluation and development of staff.
- Manages inventory levels, manages expenses, minimizes loss and maximizes revenues.
- Prepares various data statistics to report on metrics and KPI’s.
- Ability to develop and direct process improvement and productivity improvement within the facility.
- Strong analytical ability to gather and interpret information and develop, recommend and implement solutions.
- Establishes methods and procedures for departmental work activities, identifies and resolves operational problems, and communicates expertise and approvals concerning distribution center facility activities.
- Monitors, assesses, manages, and makes recommendations to key productivity indicators including but not limited to financial, productivity, compliance, and service and distribution center goals in order to reduce and control costs.
- Establishes sound process improvement initiatives that drive year over year improvement.
- Ability to effectively lead and direct the work of the Distribution Center Facility staff.
- Completes other duties assigned by Facility Manager.
Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field required; Master’s preferred.
- 10+ years of experience working in a warehouse environment with at least 6 years in a supervisory
- Advanced MS Office skills required; prior experience with Tableau, Visio, MS Project software applications preferred.
- Experience with Data Collection, Metrics, and KPI’s.
- Previous experience with a WMS required; prior experience with YMS, Billing , Labor , etc. preferred.
- Experience in Process Improvement projects; Six Sigma Black Belt Certification preferred.
- Ability to work independently required; experience in high performance teams preferred.
- Experience in the Food and Beverage industry required.
