Always Pushing the Boundaries? You Already Belong at RISK!
Our global-scale operations are based on strong internal expertise, analytics, and data research. We have expertise in iGaming operations (sports betting, online casino), digital and affiliate marketing, tech solutions, and data analytics.
We are looking for a hands-on Operations Manager (Payments) who deeply understands payment processing operations and sees the real business impact behind the numbers. In this role, you won't just monitor data—you will take full ownership of operational issues, negotiate solutions independently across teams, and drive cost optimization initiatives from concept to final delivery. If you are a proactive problem solver who spots anomalies, calculates the impact, proposes solutions, and executes them without needing constant escalation, this role is for you.
Responsibilities:
Metrics Monitoring & Anomaly Detection: Track key payment and product performance metrics daily; spot deviations early and investigate root causes.
Conversion Optimization: Analyze conversion drops across payment systems and product flows, route identified issues to relevant teams, and manage them through to resolution.
Financial Operations & Reconciliations: Perform daily/regular reconciliations of balances, settlements, FX, and processor fees to ensure complete transactional accuracy.
Cost Optimization Strategy: Model, justify, and execute cost-saving strategies for payment operations—taking full ownership of project timelines, cross-functional alignment, and final deliverables.
Operational Problem Solving: Resolve operational bottlenecks independently by negotiating directly with internal teams (Engineering, Product, Analytics) and external providers.
Process Automation: Identify routine, manual workflows in payment operations and implement automation to improve efficiency.
Stakeholder Reporting: Prepare clear, data-driven presentations and one-pagers summarizing operational findings, insights, and action plans for leadership.
Requirements:
Hard Skills
Excel / Google Sheets: Advanced data modeling, lookup functions, pivot tables, and scenario analysis skills.
Payments & Product Metrics: Deep understanding of payment processor performance, authorization rates, conversion funnels, settlements, FX, and fee structures in a business context.
BI & Dashboards: Hands-on experience working with Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI) to track operational health.
Automation: Practical experience automating routine tasks (using SQL, Python, scripts, or low-code/no-code workflow automation tools).
Business Communication: Ability to synthesize complex data into concise, structured presentations or one-pagers for stakeholders.
Language: Fluent English (both written and spoken).
Soft Skills & Mindset
Ownership & Business Mindset: Strong sense of accountability; ability to connect operational details directly to business bottom-line results.
Proactivity & Initiative: A track record of spotting anomalies, calculating the financial/operational impact, proposing solutions, and following through to results.
Negotiation & Influence: Strong interpersonal skills to resolve interdepartmental friction and align internal cross-functional teams without direct authority.
Structured & Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail combined with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Fact-Based Communication: Clear, precise, and evidence-driven communication style.
