Operations Officer

We are looking for an Operations Officer to join our BUX team based in Amsterdam.

In this role, you will offer key support to the Operations team with all the daily operational tasks, and you will contribute to a wide variety of development projects.

Within our team of 6, you will be trained to gain a strong fundamental understanding of the financial industry, saving products, concepts and processes in a broad sense.

The job is full-time (40 hours per week) and mostly requires working from the office.

What you will do

• Monitor and process corporate actions such as dividends, stock splits, etc

• Manage and process internal payments and accounts

• Reconcile (align) trades, positions and cash balances

• Investigate and fix trade, position and cash breaks

• Provide trade support to the first line of defence

• Communicate and collaborate with cash, clearing and trading partners

• Communicate and collaborate with internal teams such as engineering, business intelligence, finance and customer support

• Design new processes and reporting procedures for the savings proposition

• Refine or automate daily operational processes

What you need to succeed

• Ability to work in a team

• Eye for detail and quality-driven mindset

• Between 0-2 years of experience in financial operations

• Ability to work with Excel/spreadsheets

• Experience in Python or SQL is a plus

• Previous experience working in the financial services industry (banking or payments also works) is a plus

• Based in the Netherlands and willing to work from our office in Amsterdam
