Role: Operator: Fork Lift is responsible for operating various types of industrial lift trucks to load and unload materials and assist in the construction of deep foundation piles and piling structures at a construction jobsite.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Operate lift trucks to load and unload goods from vehicles such as trucks and trailers
- Assist in the construction process in conjunction with other heavy equipment at the jobsite
- Move goods packed on pallets or in crates around the jobsite
- Perform daily equipment checks
- Adhere to company policies, state, and federal regulations
- Adhere to quality and customer service standards set forth by the company
- Inspect and perform minor maintenance of forklifts and other material handling equipment
- Identify safety hazards in the workplace
Position Requirements:
- Constant sitting, reaching, and grasping
- Occasional lifting, carrying, walking, and climbing
- Strong vision capabilities, including acuity, depth perception, and field of vision
- Effective communication skills for safety and operational coordination
Preferred Experience:
- Preference given to candidates with good references and a minimum of five years of operating experience that meets or exceeds performance expectations
Skills and Abilities:
- Previous lift truck driving experience is preferred
- Must meet insurability requirements for driving as per company standards
Other Qualifications:
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule during the busy season
- Must be able to work late or irregular hours
- Previous knowledge of construction and construction products is helpful
- Must understand and maintain the internal and external customer service responsibilities of the position
Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must have a Class B Driver’s License
Physical Requirements:

- All aspects of vision are required – acuity, depth perception, and field of vision
- Ability to talk and hear is important for communication between co-workers on safety and operational matters affecting equipment operations
