Optometrist/Optician (Eyecare)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct thorough eye examinations and prescribe lenses or visual aids based on diagnosis.

• Provide consultation and recommend appropriate lens and frame options based on customers' lifestyle and needs.

• Ensure accurate prescription measurements and lens fitting.

• Maintain proper documentation and ensure compliance with optical and healthcare standards.

• Support sales team with product knowledge and customer education.

• Achieve monthly individual and outlet KPIs related to consultation conversion rate, product recommendation uptake, and customer retention.

• Maintain professionalism in delivering excellent customer service.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Diploma/ Degree in Optometry or Opticianry is preferred.

• Registration with the Malaysian Optical Council (MOC) and a valid APC is an added advantage, but not mandatory.

• Candidates with 1-3 years of practical experience in optical retail or opticianry (without formal qualification) are strongly encouraged to apply.

• Willingness to work retail shifts, weekends, and public holidays. (5-days per week, long hour shift with OT)

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
