Picking and Packing Associate

The Picking and Packing Associate plays a key role in getting customer orders out the door accurately and on time. Core duties include selecting and packing items to match order specifications, keeping inventory counts accurate, loading and unloading delivery trucks, and pitching in wherever needed to keep daily operations running smoothly.

This is a full-time role, Monday through Friday, with 8-hour shifts that start as early as 8:00 AM. Occasional overtime may be required.

The ideal candidate is adaptable and comfortable with changing schedules, can safely handle the physical demands of the job, and pays close attention to detail. Consistently following established procedures and upholding Dempsey’s quality and compliance standards is essential to success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately and efficiently pick and pack inventory to fulfill customer orders.
  • Assist with inventory organization and control to maintain accurate stock levels.
  • Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of debris, properly disposing of waste and trash.
  • Perform all duties safely and responsibly, following OSHA standards, company policies, and established procedures.
  • Promptly report any unsafe conditions, hazards, or practices to management.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the team and overall operations.

    • Qualifications

  • Must successfully complete pre-employment requirements, including a background check and drug screening.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50–75 pounds as required.
  • Demonstrated history of reliable attendance and performance in a work or school setting.
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to consistently arrive on time and maintain dependable attendance.
