About the role:
Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the Tireperson is responsible for repairing, performing tire assessments, and mounting and demounting heavy industrial tires. This is a full-time hourly position that offers an attractive 4x4 schedule consisting of days and nights.
The position is site-based at our operations in the Elk Valley, and the ability to reliably commute to or relocate near Sparwood, B.C is necessary.

In this role you will:

  • Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
  • Mount and demount heavy industrial tires
  • Repair of industrial tires
  • Perform tire assessments
  • Use tire mounting machinery
  • Requirements:

  • High School Diploma, General Education Development, or five years related work experience 
  • Valid driver's license
  • Qualified Tireperson
  • Tire Industry Association Certification (Off the Road/Earthmover Training)
  • Experience working on heavy mobile equipment
  • Experience working with mining equipment is an asset
  • Proficient in repair and installation of tires for heavy and industrial equipment
  • Knowledge on how to operate tire mounting machinery and equipment
