We are seeking a motivated Outside Sales Account Manager to manage an established territory covering Central / Southern North Carolina and Northern South Carolina. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven sales professional who enjoys developing new business while growing long-term customer relationships.

In this role, you will partner with manufacturers, OEMs, industrial plants, contractors, utilities, and MRO customers to provide value-added solutions including industrial hose, hydraulic hose, fittings, couplings, gaskets, pipe, valves, tubing, and other fluid conveyance products. You'll be supported by an experienced inside sales team, technical resources, and a respected brand with a strong reputation in the industrial marketplace.

Essential Functions

  • Grow sales within an established territory by developing new business while expanding existing customer relationships.
  • Call on industrial, OEM, contractor, and MRO customers to identify opportunities and recommend value-added fluid conveyance solutions.
  • Prospect and qualify new customers through networking, referrals, cold calling, and other business development activities.
  • Prepare and present quotations, proposals, and product solutions that address customer needs.
  • Manage sales opportunities, customer activity, and forecasts using the company's CRM system.
  • Partner with Inside Sales, Customer Service, and Operations to ensure accurate quotations, timely deliveries, and outstanding customer support.
  • Maintain current product knowledge while representing GHX Industrial at customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events.
  • Manage the territory effectively by prioritizing activities, resolving customer issues, and achieving sales and profitability goals.
  • Participate in marketing events such as seminars and trade shows.
  • Coordinate shipping schedules and delivery of merchandise and payment.

    • Experience, Education and Skills

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of outside sales experience selling industrial hose, hydraulic hose, fluid conveyance products, fittings, pipe, valves, gaskets, sealing products, or related industrial products.
  • Experience selling into manufacturing, industrial, OEM, MRO, construction, chemical, mining, pulp & paper, utilities, or related markets preferred.
  • Proven ability to develop new business while growing existing customer relationships.
  • Strong consultative selling, negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organization, time management, and territory planning abilities.
  • Comfortable working independently in a field-based sales environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.
  • Overnight travel as business needs require.
