Paid Research Participant - Danish Speakers
AI Summary
Native Danish speakers in NYC participate in a 3-day in-person research study about how they use their phones and apps, sharing their everyday digital habits and completing a short questionnaire.
About this role
Mindrift is running a research study on how people use their phones, apps and everyday digital tools, and how that differs across languages and cultures. We’re looking for native Danish speakers in New York to join a paid, 3-day in-person study in Midtown Manhattan.
Why your language matters
Most technology is still designed with English speakers in mind. This study helps researchers understand how people who communicate in Danish actually use their devices, so future products work better for them.
What you’ll do
- Spend 1-3 days with our research team in Midtown Manhattan.
- Walk us through how you use your phone and favourite apps in daily life.
- Share examples of your everyday phone activity with the research team. You decide what’s included.
- Fill in a short questionnaire about your habits.
Who we’re looking for
- 18+ and currently living in NYC.
- A native Danish speaker who grew up in Denmark.
- You use Danish in everyday life: texting friends, email, notes.
- You’ve used a smartphone as your main personal phone for 3+ years.
- Comfortable communicating in English.
- Available for 3 consecutive days (Mon–Wed or Thu–Sat), starting October 16 on Friday.
- Not currently employed by a tech or AI company.
Great fit for international students, people new to NYC, and anyone between jobs or with a flexible schedule.
Compensation
$100/hour, up to $2,400 for the full study.
Simple and transparent
Participation is voluntary and covered by a signed consent form that explains exactly what’s involved. You can ask questions at any point and stop whenever you like.
How to apply
Register on Mindrift and complete a short screening questionnaire. We’ll confirm your session dates once you’re shortlisted.
