Part-time Housekeeper

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of residential spaces, including dusting, vacuuming carpets, mopping floors, and cleaning surfaces to uphold high standards of cleanliness.
• Implement proper sanitation procedures to ensure a hygienic environment in kitchens, bathrooms, and common areas.
• Handle laundry duties such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and clothing with care.
• Use appropriate cleaning equipment and detergents safely and effectively to maintain floors, furniture, and fixtures.
• Manage manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of furniture or supplies while adhering to safety protocols.
• Communicate professionally with residents or clients to understand specific cleaning needs or preferences.
• Maintain organized cleaning schedules and manage time efficiently to complete all assigned tasks promptly.

Skills

• Proven experience in residential cleaning or housekeeping management with janitorial or custodial background preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques for various surfaces including carpets, floors (including floor care), and outdoor areas.
• Familiarity with cleaning detergents, disinfectants, and sanitation products along with proper usage procedures.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents or clients.
• Ability to perform outdoor work when necessary, including outdoor surface cleaning or yard maintenance.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently throughout the day.
• Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling, and prolonged periods of standing or walking.
