EssentialFunctions:

• Asamemberofstaffuphold,promote,andencourage,inwordanddeed,desiredorganizationalcultureandvalues; purposefullyseektoestablishand maintain a culture that is based on grace and affirms and advances KGM’s vision and purpose.

• AlerttheManager ofanychangesorconcernswithinthedepartment.

• MaintainconstantcommunicationwhileonshiftwithotherMen’sshelterstaffasneeded.

• IncorporateBiblicalprinciplesintointeractionswithguestsandotherstaffthatbuildpositiveandproductiverelationships.

• Maintainalovingandpeacefulenvironmentbyexercisingspiritualcareoverguestsasneeded.

• Assistguestswithbasicneedswhileontheirshift.

• Submitallreportstothe Managerasrequestedontime.

• Mustexerciseutmostdiplomacyandtacttoprovideexcellentguestservice,practicingconfidentialityandprivacy protocolin accordance withKalamazoo Gospel Ministries Policies.

• Exercisesproblem-solvingandconflictresolutionskillswhenhandlingguestcomplaints;referringguestcomplaints to appropriate personnel as needed.

• Holdguestsaccountableforinappropriatebehaviorandenforcedisciplineprocedureswhennecessary,accordingto the Kalamazoo Gospel Ministries policies.

• Investtimeinguestslivesthatwillencouragepositivegrowthbothatthemissionandintheirfuture.

• Performsimpleyeteffectivefirstaidcareinemergencies.

• Attendingallscheduledstaffmeetings.
