Ascend Staffing is hiring two Part-Time Recruiters to join our newest branch location in Abilene, Texas. This is a great opportunity for college students who want to gain hands-on experience in recruiting, human resources, business, sales, customer service, or operations while maintaining a schedule that works around classes.

As a Part-Time Recruiter, you’ll help connect local job seekers with employment opportunities while learning how a professional staffing branch operates. You’ll work directly with candidates, assist with recruiting and onboarding activities, and support the branch team in creating a positive experience for both applicants and clients.

No staffing industry experience is required. We’re looking for motivated, dependable students who are eager to learn, communicate well, and enjoy working with people.

What You’ll Do

• Recruit and communicate with candidates for available job opportunities
• Review applications and resumes to identify potential candidates
• Conduct phone screenings and assist with candidate interviews
• Contact applicants by phone, text, and email regarding job opportunities and next steps
• Help candidates complete applications, onboarding paperwork, and other required documentation
• Maintain accurate candidate information within company systems
• Assist with scheduling interviews, orientations, and job placements
• Follow up with candidates throughout the hiring and placement process
• Provide friendly and professional customer service to applicants and employees
• Support local recruiting efforts, hiring events, and other branch activities
• Assist the branch team with general administrative and operational tasks as needed

What We’re Looking For

Required

• Currently enrolled in college or interested in gaining professional recruiting and business experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable speaking with people by phone, text, email, and in person
• Dependable, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks
• Professional attitude and willingness to learn
• Basic computer skills and comfort learning new software
• Ability to work approximately 25 hours per week, typically around 5 hours per day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM

Preferred

• Customer service, sales, recruiting, administrative, retail, or campus leadership experience
• Interest in human resources, business, marketing, management, communications, or a related field
• Experience working in a fast-paced or team-oriented environment
