JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Part-Time Research Assistant – Drilling Hydraulics
The Scaling and Similitude Lab in the Department of Energy and Mineral Engineering, College of Earth and Mineral Sciences, seeks a part-time Research Assistant to support research, product commercialization, and industry outreach related to drilling hydraulics design and applications.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with data collection and processing.
- Successfully completing all assigned exercises.
- Supporting marketing and outreach of lab-developed products to the oil and gas industry and related sectors.
- Preparing and submitting timely progress reports on assigned activities to the supervisor.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have a PhD in Petroleum Engineering or be senior PhD students in Petroleum Engineering or a closely related discipline. Prior industry experience in drilling hydraulics design or experience working with wellbore hydraulics simulator is preferred.
