Parts Counterperson
We are currently looking for a Parts Counterperson for our Ottawa East location:
2716 Sheffield Rd Ottawa Ontario K1B-3V9
Reporting to the Parts Manager, Parts Counterperson’s responsibilities will include selling parts to all available customers, over the retail counter, through the shop, or on the telephone.
Responsibilities:
- Sell and invoice parts to wholesale and retail counter customers.
- Assist customers in selecting required parts, suggest companion requirements, offer specials, and ensure that the customer is exposed to the full product line.
- Provide technicians with parts accurately and efficiently.
- Answer telephones and provide quotes to customers.
- Source parts from aftermarket vendors.
- Periodically audit inventory to verify inventory quantities are correct.
- Comply with all relevant Health and Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures.
- Expected to have a positive attitude and promote a healthy work environment.
- Assist in other areas of Parts Department as required; cores, shipping and receiving.
- Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:
- Completion of Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
- Parts Technician certificate, an asset.
- Previous experience in Heavy Truck or Automotive Industry is preferred.
- Rotating Saturday shift schedule including days and afternoons.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong customer focus.
- Good communication skills and work attitude.
- Good computer skills - working knowledge and experience with ADP/CDK software an asset.
- Criminal Record Check.
- Valid driver’s license and Drivers Abstract.
