Pathology Physician

Overview

Bassett Healthcare Network, in Central New York, is seeking a full-time AP/CP Pathologist; NYS COQ strongly desired.

• Salary: $400,000
• Sign-on Bonus: up to $150,000
• Location: Cooperstown, NY

Job Description & Responsibilities

• Replace a retiring member of an established group of five pathologists covering the Anatomic and Clinical Pathology needs of the entire integrated network
• Primary duties are anatomic pathology sign-out
• General practice including minor teaching responsibilities and directorship of outlying network laboratory
• Approximately 20,000 surgical cases and 10,000 Cytopathology cases (2,000 non-gyn) examined annually with the support of Pathologist’s Assistants and Cytotechnologists
• Practice within Bassett Healthcare Network, an integrated system delivering care across an 8-county region
• Become a part of Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive academic health system and major teaching affiliate of Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons

Requirements

• MD, DO
• BC/BE
• Possession of or ability to obtain NYS Licensure and NYS certificate of qualification (COQ)
• BLS Certification Required

Compensation

• Annual Salary: $400,000.
• This compensation represents Bassett Healthcare’s good faith belief of the compensation at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards
• Sign-on Bonus: up to $150,000
