PEDIATRIC NURSE

REPORTS TO:

Director of Nursing

JOB SUMMARY:

Professional member of home health team who provides skilled nursing visits in patient’s home under the direction of plan of treatment established with physician and input from patient/care giver.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Assessing a child’s needs and providing initial care
  2. Identifying changes in pediatrics signs and symptoms and intervening in emergency situations
  3. Participating in pain management for pediatric patients
  4. Record patient’s medical history, symptoms, and vital signs
  5. Advises patients and their parents on medication instructions and at-home care.
  6. Provides high-quality pediatric patient care and is careful and attentive.
  1. Dealing with the anxieties and demands of parents, and helping families to deal with their child's illness or injury.
  2. Remaining up to date on the latest developments, rules and regulations, drug therapies, equipment, and treatment procedures
