Manages People Operations across APAC for a digital asset trading firm, owning payroll, immigration, contracts, and compliance in Singapore and other jurisdictions while driving process automation and global HR reporting.
About this role
At Flowdesk, we are building the infrastructure powering the next era of global finance. As a full-service digital asset trading and technology firm, we provide liquidity solutions, OTC trading, and market infrastructure that connect digital assets to global markets with institutional-grade precision, transparency, and scale. Flowdesk combines expertise from traditional finance, algorithmic trading, and blockchain technology to deliver always-on trading capabilities across the digital asset ecosystem.
Founded in 2020, we are a global team supporting institutions, exchanges, and token issuers to enable a tokenized financial markets ecosystem.
Why join Flowdesk? You’ll be joining a company operating at the intersection of finance, technology, and crypto; solving complex market problems, building critical infrastructure, and helping shape how digital assets connect to global liquidity. We move fast, think long term, and work with a strong ownership mindset across engineering, trading, product, operations, and business teams.
This role owns People Operations across APAC, and supporting global scope as needed, covering the full employee lifecycle from contract issuance through payroll and offboarding in both jurisdictions. You will run payroll and immigration end to end in each market, act as the operational point of contact for employees across the region, and partner directly with Finance, Legal and Compliance on entity and regulatory obligations.
Beyond day to day operations, you will improve how the function runs. Flowdesk is scaling across multiple jurisdictions and the manual process does not scale with it. You will identify where People operations depend on manual effort, and automate or redesign it globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Own payroll end to end including statutory obligations, data accuracy, and coordination with Finance on funding and reconciliation.
- Independently manage immigration, covering visa applications, renewals and cancellations; keep up to date with renewals due.
- Draft, maintain and issue employment contracts, letters and policy templates compliant with local labour laws.
- Serve as the primary operational contact for employees across the region on lifecycle matters, from onboarding through offboarding, working across time zones.
- Manage and hold accountable external providers, including payroll bureaus, relevant government authorities, PROs and immigration counsel in each market.
- Manage daily office & equipment upkeep, vendors, compliance, and plan regional office events.
- Produce and maintain People reporting and dashboards, turning HR data into analysis that informs decisions.
- Identify manual or fragmented processes and deliver automation or redesign, measured by time saved and error reduction.
- Partner with Finance, Legal and Compliance on entity level obligations and regulatory requirements applying to each regional business.
- Contribute to global People Operations projects, taking independent ownership of workstreams.

- Strong data and reporting capability, including building and maintaining dashboards or reporting from HR systems - particular experience with G-Suite and Claude.
- Experience delivering process automation or system improvement with a measurable outcome.
Preferred
- Depth in Singapore employment operations.
- Experience in a regulated financial services environment, ideally with exposure to VARA, DIFC, ADGM or MAS frameworks.
- Exposure to crypto, digital assets or high growth fintech.
- Track record of leading global projects independently, without close supervision.
Person Profile
- Communicates directly and comfortable managing stakeholders at all levels.
- Operates autonomously, takes ownership in driving projects and operations, and does not wait to be tasked.
- Instinctively looks for the systemic fix rather than repeating the manual workaround.
- Comfortable with the pace and ambiguity of a scaling business across multiple jurisdictions.
- Comfortable operating across time zones and building trust with employees they rarely see in person.
- High personal accountability for accuracy, given the compliance and payroll exposure this role carries.
- High level of due diligence, ability to work with confidential data professionally.

Recruitment process
Our process is consistent across all roles and is designed to assess genuine technical depth. Candidates should expect the following stages
- Stage 1 - Initial screening with TA (30 mins)

- Stage 3 - Onsite interview (60 mins) - Meet the General Manager APAC & Chief Legal Officer
