Position: Performance Engineer, Engineering

Job Description: Management of independent engineering reports for the design, engineering, construction, and commissioning of commercial/industrial PV solar arrays, PV with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and standalone BESS projects for direct generation to the utility power grid, and ownership of resolution of comments by coordinating directly with internal and external design and construction teams. Review and analyze testing and commissioning of projects for requirements of substantial completion of the project, including review and troubleshooting issues associated with DAS/SCADA data collection for capacity testing of solar panels, racking structures, transformers, inverters, switchboards, and battery storage systems. Assist project leadership with the development of scopes of work and cost estimates for third-party engineers and contractors preparing civil, electrical, structural, and DAS issued-for-construction drawings. Execute work orders and manage field requests for information by coordinating responses with the appropriate civil, electrical, structural, and DAS/SCADA engineers of record. Manage the bandwidth of independent civil, electrical, structural, and DAS/SCADA engineers reviewing PV solar and battery storage projects to prioritize critical-path tasks.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Engineering Management, or a closely related field of study and two years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. Must have two years of experience in each of the following: review of preliminary through construction level engineering documentation and calculations for compliance with applicable standards and project needs; leading coordination with multi-disciplinary engineering teams; review of shop drawings and submittals for compliance with project requirements and codes; proficiency in AutoCAD software; proficiency in review of DAS/SCADA data points and DAS/SCADA engineering; and review and coordination of third-party contracts for design work.

Offered Wage: $105,000 -125,000/year.
