Personal Lines Retention Specialist
AI Summary
A Personal Lines Retention Specialist reviews client policies at renewal, advises on coverage options, and manages a book of 2,000+ accounts to retain clients through strong relationships and expert service.
About this role
Our client is a growing, thriving, independent insurance agency licensed in 39 states with more than 20 carrier partners. Their focus is to not just provide insurance - but to protect what matters most to their clients: family, business, and their future. The agency makes it their top priority to safeguard the client's family and business as thoughtfully and intentionally as they would their own. They believe every client deserves to feel confident about their coverage, and that starts with the strength of their team. Their licensed professionals build lasting client relationships around three things: the right coverage, the best price, and world-class service. Agency staff are supported by a team with deep industry expertise, real mentorship, and the resources to succeed. The agency is looking for individuals who want to build a stable, meaningful career doing work that genuinely helps people protect what matters most.
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Personal Lines professional to join our growing team. We don't treat a renewal as paperwork. We treat it as a promise: the chance, every year, to show a client that trusting us with what matters most was the right call. As a Retention Specialist, you will help deliver on that promise. This role is the steady, knowledgeable voice our clients count on, someone who knows their policy, understands their history, and makes sure they're set up right for the year ahead. The ideal candidate has a genuine passion for client service, strong expertise in personal lines insurance, and takes real pride in being the reason a client stays.
Your key responsibilities may include:
- Personally review every policy at renewal, side by side with the client, and guide them to the smartest path for their next policy period.
- Know when to keep a client right where they are and when to re-market their account across our deep bench of carriers to find them something better.
- Own a book of 2,000+ accounts a year, treating each one like it's the only one.
- Partner with our incredible teams to deliver a world-class, boutique client experience in every single interaction.
