Position Overview

We are looking for a Physical Therapist to join a modern outpatient orthopedic clinic in Raytown. This role is centered on helping patients improve mobility, strength, balance, flexibility, and overall function through evaluation, treatment planning, skilled therapy, and patient education.

The primary caseload includes orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions. Patients range from 11 to 90 years old, creating a varied clinical day with different recovery goals, activity levels, and treatment needs.

What Your Workday May Include

  • Evaluating new patients and reviewing current care plans
  • Treating orthopedic injuries, musculoskeletal pain, post-surgical cases, weakness, and mobility concerns
  • Guiding patients through strengthening, stretching, balance, and functional movement programs
  • Using manual therapy and other appropriate interventions
  • Teaching patients home exercises and recovery strategies
  • Coordinating with PTAs and team members throughout the care process
  • Completing documentation in WebPT

Clinic and Team Details

  • Patient Volume: 7–15 patients per day
  • Weekly Clinic Volume: Approximately 160–190 patient visits
  • Clinical Team: 2 Physical Therapists and 2 Physical Therapist Assistants
  • EMR System: WebPT
  • Patient Age Range: 11 to 90 years old
  • Primary Caseload: Orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions

Preferred Schedule Options

Option 1: Four 10-Hour Days, Preferred

  • Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
  • Tuesday off each week

Option 2: Monday–Friday Schedule

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 9:00 AM–6:00 PM
  • Wednesday, Friday: 7:00 AM–4:00 PM

Responsibilities

  • Complete physical therapy evaluations and reassessments
  • Develop treatment plans based on patient goals, diagnosis, and functional limitations
  • Provide therapy for orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions
  • Help patients improve mobility, strength, balance, flexibility, and daily movement
  • Educate patients on home exercise programs and safe activity progression
  • Track progress and update treatment plans when clinically appropriate
  • Maintain accurate clinical records using WebPT
  • Communicate with PTAs to support consistent patient care

Requirements

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from an accredited program
  • Active Missouri Physical Therapist license or eligibility to obtain one
  • New graduates are welcome to apply
  • Outpatient orthopedic experience preferred
  • Strong patient education, communication, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work with patients across different ages and mobility levels
