About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Maintenance Electrician, who can perform the below requirements:

• Provide guidance and support to Maintenance & Production, R&D, Quality Assurance and Operations for product/process development
• Responsible for effective troubleshooting, repair, installation, and preventative maintenance
• Proactively detect potential problems and recommend the necessary repair or maintenance
• Must be part of team, a ‘hands on’ approach with equipment
• Work with production to ensure clear SOPs / instructions are provided for all equipment
• Ensure safe plant operations

Requirements

• Valid 442A Ontario Industrial Electrician trade license an asset
• 5 years of industrial food equipment experience is required (e.g. flow wrappers, or relevant experience in a repetitive/fast-paced environment)
• Knowledge of robots, conveyors, high speed packaging equipment, and electrical/electronic controls
• 5 years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures
• Experience troubleshooting with PLC’s
• Must have knowledge of working on Auto Cad or similar software program to maintain and edit existing engineering drawings as required from time to time
• Computer skills required for Microsoft Office
• Must have strong leadership skills and passionate about quality and food safety
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills and highly organized
• Works well under pressure
• Preference will be given to candidates with Lean Six Sigma
• Forklift license and experience is considered an asset
