AI Summary

Builds internal tools and services that improve the developer experience for engineering teams, focusing on CI/CD, build tooling, release workflows, and automation.

About this role

Mujin is a global leader in industrial automation, redefining supply chain efficiency through MujinOS—our intelligent operating system for robotics. At our core is Machine Intelligence (MujinMI), a unique approach that leverages real-time digital twins and advanced perception, planning, and control algorithms to achieve fully autonomous operations.

Our flagship product, MujinController, empowers users with a highly configurable, no-code interface. By integrating cutting-edge motion planning and computer vision, it enables seamless automation for complex applications such as palletizing, picking, and truck unloading.

Headquartered in Japan with a growing presence in the US, China, and Europe, we invite you to join a dynamic environment where you can shape the future of automation.

About the Role

Mujin is hiring a Platform Engineer to join our Engineering Enablement team and help build the internal services, tools, and workflows that enable engineers to develop, test, release, and support software effectively.

This is a software engineering role focused on improving the developer experience across a broad range of areas, including CI/CD, build tooling, release workflows, internal support workflows, documentation tooling, and log collection. Rather than focusing only on operating infrastructure, you will design and develop services, command-line tools, and automation used by engineering teams across Mujin.

  • 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • Hands-on experience designing and building software services, command-line tools, developer tools, or internal engineering systems
  • Professional programming experience with at least one general-purpose language such as Rust, Go, Python, C++, or a comparable language
  • Experience contributing to software across multiple technical areas or layers of a system
  • Understanding of software development workflows, including areas such as CI/CD, build systems, testing, deployment, or release processes
  • Ability to collaborate with engineers and understand the needs of internal users

    • Preferred Requirements

  • Experience working in a Platform Engineering, Developer Experience, Engineering Enablement, or similar team
  • Experience building tools or services used by a large engineering organization
  • Experience with Rust, Go, or Python

    • Interview Process

  • Resume Screening
  • Take-home coding test
  • HR interview
  • Technical interview
  • Culture/Team fit interview

    • Attractives

  • Impact engineering at scale: Build tools and services used by engineering teams across Mujin.
  • Broaden your engineering experience: Work across a wide range of areas, from CI/CD and build tooling to release and support workflows.
  • Build, not just operate: This is a software engineering role where you will develop tools and services, rather than focusing primarily on infrastructure operations.
