Designed as a global centre of excellence, KBS focuses on delivering complex, high value-added services that strengthen and support KOSTAL’s international operations.

Overall Purpose of the Job:
As an internationally positioned IT team, we support KOSTAL product development by providing applications and solutions for mechanical and software engineering, as well as for managing development data. Currently, we serve over 6,000 internal users across various domains.

Our environment is diverse and dynamic, encompassing applications such as CATIA Mechanical Design, MS Project Server, JIRA, GIT Software Management, Doors NG Requirements Management, and our Product Lifecycle Management system CIM Database.

To strengthen our team, we are seeking a qualified and motivated IT Specialist for our Budapest location.

Main Tasks, Roles, and Responsibilities:

  • Implement technical solutions based on requirements from our engineering business partners, primarily using Python and in connection with our CIM Database Product Lifecycle Management System.
  • You will work in our GIT lab CI/CD environment with Pycharm and JetBrain AI.
  • Develop add-ons and interfaces to automate and optimize business processes.
  • Monitor service performance, ensuring the highest quality and availability of the application environment.
  • Operate, install, configure, and handle incidents for engineering applications.
  • Communicate and collaborate closely with our international IT teams.

Qualifications

Experience and Requirements:

  • Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in IT or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge and proven experience in the object-oriented programming language Python.
  • Additional experience with languages such as C++, C#, JavaScript, or Linux Shell scripting is a plus. As well as base knowledge of database management (SQL).
  • Understanding of CI/CD lifecycles and agile methodologies.
  • Familiarity with usage of PLM systems is an asset and can facilitate entry into the role.
  • Fluent English is required; German is a big plus and knowledge of other languages is an asset.
