Post Production Artist - Fixed Term

Summary: We are looking for a talented and meticulous Post Production Artist to join our in-house Agency team. Reporting to the Head of Photography, this role will be responsible for the retouching, finishing, and preparation of high-quality photographic assets across Huda Beauty’s brand ecosystem, including campaign, beauty, product, editorial, social, and e-commerce imagery.

The ideal candidate has advanced technical expertise in Photoshop and a highly refined eye for beauty retouching, color, tone, texture, skin, hair, product detail and composition. They will be responsible for translating approved creative direction into polished final imagery while maintaining a high level of consistency, accuracy, and visual quality across a high volume of assets.

Please note that this role is a 12-month fixed term role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Retouch and finish high-end beauty, product, campaign, editorial, fashion, and lifestyle photography from initial selects through final delivery.

• Execute advanced beauty retouching across skin, complexion, hair, makeup, eyes, lips, hands, and other fine-detail areas while maintaining a natural and realistic result.

• Retouch product and packaging imagery, with a strong understanding of materials, reflections, highlights, texture, shape, and color accuracy.

• Apply color correction, grading, compositing, masking, background cleanup and extensions, image reconstruction, and other advanced Photoshop techniques as required.

• Work closely with the Head of Photography, photographers, Art Director, and creative team to interpret creative direction, briefs, mood boards, and retouching notes and translate them into polished final imagery.

• Maintain consistent visual quality across campaign, editorial, digital, social, print, and e-commerce assets.

• Manage multiple retouching projects and high volumes of assets, prioritizing work effectively to meet agreed timelines without compromising quality.

• Conduct final quality checks and prepare imagery for delivery, ensuring retouching, color, technical specifications, file formats, dimensions, and resolutions meet requirements.

• Maintain organized layered working files, exports, and archived assets in line with established file management standards.

• Support the Head of Photography in developing and maintaining efficient retouching workflows, standards, and processes.

• Brief and guide external retouching vendors as required, establishing clear retouching standards and references to ensure consistency and quality across delivered imagery.

• Stay current with evolving retouching techniques, Photoshop capabilities, AI-assisted tools, and emerging technologies relevant to digital image production.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Retoucher, Beauty Retoucher, Digital Artist, or in a comparable photography post-production role.

• Strong portfolio demonstrating high-end beauty, product, editorial, campaign, and commercial retouching.

• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, including strong expertise in masking, compositing, frequency separation, dodge & burn, color correction, cleanup, and image reconstruction.

• Strong working knowledge of Lightroom and Capture One.

• Exceptional understanding of skin, hair, makeup, texture, light, shadow, reflection, materiality, tone, and color.

• Strong understanding of product and packaging retouching, including reflective and transparent materials.

• Strong understanding of color management and output requirements across print, digital, social, and e-commerce.

• Ability to interpret creative briefs, mood boards, art direction, and retouching notes and translate them into polished final imagery.

• Exceptional attention to detail with a highly developed visual eye and strong understanding of beauty and commercial image aesthetics.

• Ability to maintain a high level of consistency across large volumes of imagery.

• Experience working under tight deadlines in a fast-paced creative or production environment.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.

• Collaborative approach with strong communication skills and the ability to respond constructively to creative feedback.

• Experience working within beauty, fashion, luxury, or high-end commercial photography is preferred.

• Experience working with global brands and assets distributed across multiple markets is a plus.

• Experience with AI-assisted imaging and emerging digital production tools is a plus.
