- PR Materials: Draft releases, alerts, Q&As, and briefing notes adhering to brand standards.
- Talent: Pitch, brief, and coordinate athletes and coaches; manage contracted deliverables.
- Operations: Oversee media accreditation, press conferences, Media Centre setup, and event-week PR logistics.
- Partners & Charities: Execute partner PR entitlements and charity tier servicing.
- Social Marketing: Collaborate with the social team to align earned and owned channels.
About You
- 2–4 years' PR, media, or communications experience (ideally in sport, events, or lifestyle).
- Strong writer capable of delivering cleanly under deadline.
- Established Australian media contacts and a confident relationship-builder.
- Hands-on Meltwater experience (searches, dashboards, reporting).
- Experience coordinating talent and managing event PR operations.
- Highly organized, calm under pressure, and proactive.
- Desirable: Monday.com, Klear, and Abbott World Marathon Majors knowledge.
Working Requirements
- Sydney-based; requires extended hours and weekends during key events.
- Required to work at designated events and run clubs (up to 10 additional days/year).
- Comfortable working on-site at events (early starts, time on foot).
- Leave Blackout: August through mid-September (max 4 consecutive days of leave allowed).
Why Join Us
- Hybrid work (up to 2 days WFH; min. 4 days in-office during event delivery periods).
- 6 weeks of annual leave in recognition of event delivery requirements.
- Provided ASICS running shoes and high-performance event apparel.
- Sydney CBD office with breakfast, snacks, and a collaborative team culture.
If you’re a strong communicator with a passion for storytelling and are ready to take on a challenge that puts you at the heart of global sport, we’d love to hear from you.
