Pressman

As a Pressman, you will be responsible for operating laundry and pressing equipment, ensuring the proper finishing and presentation of linens, uniforms, and garments. Your role involves maintaining high standards of cleanliness, quality, and efficiency in pressing services.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Operate laundry and pressing equipment, including ironers, steamers, and presses.

• Inspect linens, uniforms, and garments for cleanliness and quality.

• Press and finish linens, uniforms, and garments to meet established standards.

• Address wrinkles, creases, and fabric imperfections using appropriate pressing techniques.

• Ensure the proper handling and storage of pressed items.

• Keep detailed records of items processed, maintaining accuracy and efficiency.

• Manage inventory of pressing supplies, such as pressing cloths and steam.

• Collaborate with laundry and housekeeping departments to meet guest needs.

• Address guest inquiries and concerns related to pressing and laundry services.

• Maintain a clean and organized pressing area, including equipment maintenance.

• Adhere to environmental and safety regulations for pressing operations.

• Participate in training and development to enhance pressing skills.

• Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly manner to safeguard the health and safety of guests and colleagues, as well as contribute to environmental conservation.
