Who We Are
Modern Adventure creates thoughtfully designed journeys for curious, well-traveled guests who value depth, joy, and enduring meaning. Our work is grounded in deep destination knowledge, long-standing global relationships, and a belief that exceptional travel comes from access, care, and craft.
We are an award-winning experiential travel company operating across all seven continents through small-group journeys, bespoke private travel, and intimate retreats. Our guests come to us because they value insight, trust good judgment, and want experiences that are impossible to replicate through independent planning.
Our one guest, one ecosystem approach ensures every guest experience, group or private, reflects a consistent Modern Adventure point of view.
As a Certified B Corporation and Climate Neutral company, how we travel matters.
Private travel is a core and growing priority for Modern Adventure. We have the infrastructure, global partnerships, and guest demand in place, and we’re investing in the right team structure to support it thoughtfully and sustainably.
Private travel at Modern Adventure is relationship-driven and brand-held. This is not an affiliate, consortium-based, or independent advisor position. The Private Travel Designer is a fully integrated member of the Modern Adventure team collaborating closely across experiences, partnerships, marketing, and guest services.
The Role
The Private Travel Designer owns the end-to-end guest journey for Modern Adventure’s custom and private travel clients, from qualified inquiry through post-trip follow-up.
This is a high-touch role requiring creative vision, operational rigor, and commercial fluency. You will design bespoke itineraries for individuals, families, and private groups, translating guest interests into seamless, deeply personal journeys that reflect Modern Adventure’s standards and point of view.
You will have meaningful creative autonomy and full accountability for the quality, accuracy, and commercial performance of your trips. While supported by a Private Travel Associate and shared systems, this role owns design decisions, pricing strategy, supplier relationships, and final execution standards.
Role structure and time commitment are flexible and will be defined in partnership with the right candidate.
