We’re looking for a skilled PRN Medical Assistant to support our Nurse Practitioner while also managing front desk and receptionist duties. What You’ll Do

  • Greet and prepare patients, take medical histories, and escort them to exam rooms
  • Obtain vital signs (BP, pulse, temperature, oxygen saturation) and update records
  • Collect specimens (blood, urine, swabs) and properly label them
  • Assist Nurse Practitioner during exams and procedures—e.g., vaccines, blood draws, EKGs
  • Clean and stock exam rooms, maintain inventory and equipment
  • Educate patients and families on medications, preventive care, and self-management
  • Perform administrative tasks: scheduling, billing support, phone triage, and maintaining paperwork
  • Ensure patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Medical Assistant certification (CMA, CCMA, RMA, or NCMA) from an accredited program
  • At least 1 year clinical experience preferred—primary care or rural clinic experience is a plus
  • Proficient in vital signs, injections, phlebotomy and basic procedures
  • Strong communication, empathy, and customer-service skills
  • Comfortable with EHR systems (scheduling, documentation
