About the Role

We are seeking a Battery Process Engineer to support process engineering activities within our Consumer Battery Division. This role focuses on manufacturing process optimization, yield improvement, process troubleshooting, new material trials, production tooling, and continuous improvement across consumer battery production processes.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize process abnormalities across assigned production stages, including tab welding, slitting, laser cleaning, liquid injection, formation, sealing, OCV, X-ray, grading, and material preparation.

  • Improve process capability, production yield, overall efficiency, and process stability.

  • Conduct feasibility assessments for new project pilot runs and follow up on process-related issues.

  • Implement corrective actions and prepare process evaluation reports.

  • Support customer audits, product certifications, and complaint analysis related to manufacturing processes.

  • Design, improve, and maintain production tooling, jigs, and fixtures as required.

  • Follow up on localized material trial runs in Thailand, monitor process performance, and prepare trial evaluation reports.

  • Develop, maintain, and update process documentation, including FMEA, SOP, and Control Plans.

  • Apply Six Sigma and continuous improvement methodologies to improve process stability, quality, and production efficiency.

  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, Equipment, and other relevant teams to resolve process issues.

  • Provide technical support to production teams and follow up on improvement actions.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in manufacturing or process engineering.

  • Experience in lithium battery manufacturing is preferred.

  • Proficient in CAD, SolidWorks, Pro/E, and Microsoft Office.

  • Familiar with process documentation such as FMEA, SOP, Control Plan, and failure response procedures.

  • Strong understanding and application of Six Sigma and process optimization principles.

  • Familiarity with lithium battery manufacturing processes, including electrode, injection, sealing, formation, and inspection processes.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.

  • Good communication and coordination skills.

  • Proficiency in Chinese or English is preferred.
